There is much good gospel work happening in our city, and we encourage you to get involved! Below you’ll find a list of local ministries that Redeemer supports, along with prayer points for each one. You can learn more about serving with one of these groups here.

Lifespring Ministry (Wayside Cross)

Mission: A Christ-centered transitional living program for women and children facing homelessness due to addiction, abuse, or financial crisis. They provide counseling, Bible study, and essential life skills training.

Prayer Points:

  • Healing: For deep emotional and spiritual restoration from past trauma and the breaking of generational cycles.
  • Stability: For the children to feel secure, loved, and supported in their developmental and educational needs.
  • Perseverance: For residents to find the strength to complete their program and for staff to provide wise mentorship.

World Relief Chicagoland (Aurora)

Mission: Serving local immigrants and refugees by providing resettlement assistance, employment services, legal aid, and English language classes to foster safety and belonging.

Prayer Points:

  • Integration: For families navigating new cultures, languages, and employment in the Fox Valley area.
  • Justice: For wisdom for legal teams and just outcomes for those seeking asylum or residency.
  • Mobilization: That local churches would be moved to serve as “Good Neighbor” teams through practical hospitality

Wayside Cross Ministries

Mission: An Aurora pillar for over 95 years, offering restoration through the Master’s Touch (men’s recovery), Urban Youth Ministry, prison chaplaincy, and homeless services.

Prayer Points:

  • Transformation: That men in recovery would experience permanent life-change through Christ.
  • Protection: For at-risk youth to find positive role models and a safe haven from street pressures.
  • Provision: For the financial resources and dedicated volunteers required to sustain these diverse services.

LifeWise Academy (Aurora)

Mission: A “Released Time” program providing Bible-based character education to public school students during the school day, connecting biblical truth to daily life.

Prayer Points:

  • Favor: For continued cooperation and positive relationships with local school boards and administrations.
  • Impact: That biblical truths would take root in students’ hearts, affecting their behavior and relationships.
  • Logistics: For the recruitment of the teachers and drivers necessary to operate and grow the program.

Administer Justice

Mission: Providing low-income individuals with professional legal counsel and spiritual support through Gospel Justice Centers, addressing civil legal issues with compassion.

Prayer Points:

  • Wisdom: For volunteer attorneys to provide clear, actionable guidance during brief consultations.
  • Peace: For clients facing “legal burnout” to find calm and feel valued during their appointments.
  • Witness: For Client Advocates to effectively share God’s love and spiritual support with every visitor.
  • Sustainability: For the protection of volunteers against fatigue and for joy in their service.
