Guidelines for Use of Redeemer Community Church Facilities

Redeemer Community Church and its facilities are dedicated to the worship and service of God. Our policy is to make the building and its facilities available for activities that align with our vision, values, and beliefs. We reserve the right to decline any request that does not align with these.

To request use of the building, please review the fees and guidelines below and complete the form at the bottom of the page. We will respond by email within 72 hours. On rare occasions, a ministry need may require canceling a non-ministry event. While we try hard to work around existing reservations, we reserve the right to cancel non-ministry reservations when necessary.

BUILDING GUIDELINES
All building use must follow these guidelines:

Reservations

  1. Submit a Building Reservation Form (below) as early as possible, and at least two weeks before the event. Requests for recurring use during the school year are due by May 1.
  2. Once your request is approved by the staff administrator (and by the elders, if needed), you’ll be notified and the event will be added to the calendar.

Care of the Facility

  1. Treat the building and its facilities with care, recognizing that they were built and dedicated to God’s ministry.
  2. Use only the rooms listed on your reservation form, and return them to their original setup unless other arrangements have been made.
  3. If you move chairs, tables, books, or other items between rooms, return them to their original location.
  4. Do not use or move musical instruments without prior permission.
  5. Do not remove any items from the building without written permission.
  6. Do not use permanent decorations that would deface the building, and do not use nails. Hang decorations with masking or painter’s tape only, and remove both tape and decorations promptly after the event.
  7. Report any damage to the building or equipment to the church office immediately.
  8. Request any electronic or mechanical equipment (PA systems, coffee makers, etc.) on the Building Reservation Form. A sanctuary PA system is available and must be operated by a church-approved operator. A portable PA system is available for the gym.

Before You Leave

  1. Clean up any trash or spills from floors and surfaces.
  2. Empty food trash into the outdoor trash cans.
  3. Close all windows in rooms you used.
  4. Close and lock all outside doors.
  5. Turn off all classroom air conditioners and fans.
  6. Turn off any equipment you used.
  7. Turn off all lights.

Additional Policies

  1. Serving alcoholic beverages requires special permission.
  2. Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of the building.

Protection of Minors (Under 18)

    • All Redeemer ministry groups must comply with the General Guidelines of Redeemer Community Church’s Child Protection Policy, unless the elders approve an exception for a unique circumstance.
    • Outside ministry groups must submit a copy of their own child protection policy and practices along with their application.
    • Privately-hosted events that include anyone under 18 must follow these safeguards:
      • Two adults aged 18 or older must be present.
      • Children must remain under active adult supervision at all times.
      • Adults may not be alone with another person’s child unless permission has been granted.
      • Adults may not change a diaper or assist a child in the restroom without parental permission.
